Altered Guitar

Hello people.

Today I have something to share which is quite different for me, an altered thing. I was asked by mother-in-law that should I throw this guitar shaped wooden piece? I said no and this happened. ;)

Here is the one before alteration:

And what I did with it:

I arranged everything roughly first. Then I started glueing the arrnaged things : some prima and other charms, lace, some waste resin embellishments, some fillers, some textures with glue gun and then gessoed everything in black. After drying it completely, I started adding Prima Antique Brilliance waxes which I was storing since long.

Mirror charm was glued after detaching mirror from it.

At last, I highlighted everything (textures and borders of embellished area too) with Prima silver acrylic paint, and added that detached glass to the mirror, some diamond brads which I took out from charms while glueing and two small flowers.

Here are some closeups:

I hope you liked it.

Happiness - A mixed media layout

Hello people.

I hope you are doung well.

I am back on personal blog after a long time with a mixed media layout (after a long time too), #happiness.

Here it is:

It’s done on a patterned paper of DCWV’s Zodiac paper stack. I gessoed the portion I wanted to highlight, then added textures and colours and colour splashes, again and again till I got a satisfying result for me. Then added papers, photo, gessoed and coloured chipboards and other things.

At last, I added a textured writing with shimmer paste and stencil.

Some closeups:

And I got it framed too. Have a look:

I hope you liked it.

Double sided Layout

Hello people.

I am back today with the new project and as the title says, it's double sided layout. Yes, Double sided!! I don't like to waste one side of double sided paper so I had to bring such layout. ;)

It's Prima's Rossibelle paper pack and dusty attic chipboard. Anyone would love these papers even if  they are not crafters.

So here is the one side of layout which is 'LOVE':

I added gesso on chipboard then distressed it a bit to match the lead colour and sprinkled black colour to match it with the paper which had black splashed on it. Then arranged everything roughly and watercoloured arund the rough arrangement. And then adhered everything at place. There are lot lot many fussy cut embellishments in this layout and prima flowers.

Some closeups:

Now the other side which is "HELLO':

When one side was colourful, the other one had to be different so I chose vintage theme. Again, gesso on chipboard, distressed and sprinkled black. This side of paper had a brick design on some part so I decided to go for brick stenciling and coloured it to make it look same as that printed bricks. Then stamped the edges of the paper with distredd ink. I forgot to tell you that the fussy cut papers of colourful side which were visible this side were also stamped and distressed to match it with this side. I added beach net type laces which I coloured brown then lot many cutouts from same paper stack and we are done.

Closeup:

I have hanged this whole thing as a show piece in a hook and here how it looked:

LOVE:

HELLO:

I am planning to hang it in a hook like a wind chime and it will keep rotating on itself by wind.

I hope you liked it. Do share your views.
